This is the scene at the beach at Del Mar, California, yesterday. Not a mask in sight. Apparently, Californians are no better than Texans when is comes to masking up at the beach. I understand that you’re not going to want to wear a mask when lying on the beach or certainly not in the ocean, but when you are walking around a lot of other people you should mask up. We will see what the effect is on infection rates in the coming weeks. Labor Day, in conjunction with the return to school, is a cause for concern.
