To say that the last few weeks have been stressful is an understatement. We have seen our world change dramatically in a short amount of time. We will get through it but how do we manage? The following was forwarded to me by a friend. it is from John Hopkins School of Medicine (who put on a great meeting for my club, The Texas Club of Internists, a couple of years ago). It is a succinct, practical summary:
On another note, personal protective equipment has been in short supply as you have read. We have been making do with using paper capes, rather than gowns when we swab patients curbside for coronavirus and safety goggles from Home Depot rather that eye shields. We were finally able to get some of the latter.
We had hoped to begin antibody testing next week, but the test has been held up by the FDA.
We wish you a Happy Easter or Passover. The website will be taken down for a few hours over the weekend to restore some previous Covid-19 posts, but I hope to still be able to add new posts.
